I am not sure about Illinois law, but according to the web expungement site ,' target='_blank' class='qa'>www.expungedomesticviolence.com it is possible to expunge domestic violence arrests and convictions in many states. You should contact an attorney in IL who specializes in expungement. I have heard good things about Tamara Holder in Chicago.
Yes as long as its been longer then 5 years and the victim didnt get hurt real bad
You can get almost any misdemeanour expunged in Illinois ; and some felonies . I believe the only un-expunge-able offens , would be class X felonies .
In 1999, I was involved in a domestic dispute with my now ex-husband. My brother got involved defending me and he still has an assault charge on his records to this day. Is there anything that I can do to get this off his record? We live in the state of Louisiana and I'm not sure what the law says.
