The answer is yes you can. Your lease is a binding legal document. If you do not follow the terms on it, including the full dollar amount to be paid to your landlord, then you can be evicted. But if you have a cool landlord, that excepts half then you will not be evicted. Make sure you know when they are expecting the other half so theres no misunderstandings.
