L am pretty sure that you can not ex sponge it. I am going to share a true experience l had to run a credit and criminal check on all people wanting to rent an apartment. This man comes in and tells me that 12 years ago that he was convected for murder. L told I'm l will run the check on him and it came back clean. What happened we will never know.
