It would not be worth it.  You will have to have your background checked before you go to school and they would not let you practice at their hospital.  Get your record expunged first.  You can do this without the help of a lawyer. I did it, so can you.

You can what you would need is a "certificate of relief of disabilities"  from the convicting judge.  If you explain to them why you need it and that you want to be a nurse it shouldnt be a problem unless its a felony related to abuse of some kind.   I had no problems getting my license and I had a felony dwi all I needed was the certificate of relief of disabilities.. GOOD LUCK

Hi I see this is an old post but I'm actually being charged with a felony dwi as well and am looking to becoming an Lpn. I was wondering if you had any advice or insight on how to go about this? Thank you
