Sealed records and expunged records are two totally different things. Sealing records could be done without a lawyer. These cases are usually juvenile cases or adult cases that were dismissed. Since an expungement is clearing a conviction it is never totally erased and in certain cases can still be found. I would suggest running a live scan on yourself called a record review and see what comes up.
If a charge is expunged it is sealed and should not show up on an inquiries
I am in the same situation as you and I've been informed that live scan shows sealed, expunged, and dismissed records.
