What is your view on the death penalty? Do you have the death penalty where you live?

No death penalty here, and I'm not a fan of it either. I've seen too many documentaries that highlight miscarriages of justice, and people who end up being sentenced to death for a "moment of madness".

It doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent either, and the whole process is actually quite expensive it seems.

I'd much rather that capital crimes be punished through a lifetime of reparation.

We do not need it. Absolutely not. It is not a deterrent, it doesn't make victim's families feel any better and it's cruel and unusual. The worst punishment criminals deserve is life in prison, and even that is a bit much. Here's why: We as a society need to move away from this retribution-laced, revenge mentality. If someone is a danger to themselves or others, remove them from the population. But it's not like it's their FAULT, so stop killing these people, Texas. Geez!!
