To find mug shots of Harris County inmates, you need to apply for an Open Records request or apply to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office by fax at 713 755-6228. The application for the request and all other information can be found at the following link:

In addition, when submitting an Open Records request to see the mug shot, you must also be able to supply some additional information. This will include:
•The date of the arrest or if the actual date is unknown- the date and the year.
•Name and date of birth of the person who was arrested (arrestee).
•If you are the person requesting the mug shot, include your own name and full postal address. This is because the documents you are requesting can only be sent out by post.
If you are hoping to submit an Open Records Request, you should not send any payment upfront as you will be charged according to an appropriate charging schedule that is designed for getting copes of public information.
