At a child support tribunal hearing, the parents can request for their appeal to be decided on the basis of their case papers only. In the event of a request for an appeal to be decided on the basis of their case papers only, the court of law will do the needful and make all the necessary arrangements to put the case before a tribunal at the earliest.

The parents will be informed about the outcome of the child support hearing as soon as the judge gives his or her verdict. In case the parents ask to be present at the child support tribunal hearing in person, they will receive a letter which will inform them of the day, date, time and venue of the child support tribunal hearing. They will usually be given at least two weeks' advance notice. They should be present at the venue of the child support tribunal hearing on the day and date at the time which has been mentioned in the letter.
