The laws on annulment vary according to the country, but you don't normally have to wait a year. You can only annul  a marriage in certain cases - you can find a list of these here if you scroll down to "Annulment."

If I am not mistaken a marriage must be annulled within the first six months, after that you must file for a divorce

I don't know for sure but I think it is within a one year period that you can have a marriage annulled.

Assuming the marriage has been consummated(had sex!)Then you would not be able to get marriage annulled.
However there are different rules if one of you is catholic, you maybe able to get a dispensation from the pope, again only for catholics. Also if you are based in the uk,you would normally have to wait a minimum of 2 years, before getting a divorce, again I'm assuming there are no children. In the uk you can get a free session with a solicitor that specialises in family law,who would be able to advise you properly on what you can do legally.I hope this helps...

Depends on your state and there usually has to be another reason for the annulment in addition to it not being that long of a marriage

There is no time limit for you to get an annulment. You can file for divorce whenever you want, there are no time period limitations imposed by law.

My question is similar. We were married just over a year. Two months later I found that he had misrepresented himself so I asked him to leave. I haven't had time to pursue an annulment or divorce until now. We would like it annulled. Since we were only together for two and a half months is it possible to get an annulment or do I have to get a divorce since the date of our ceremony was over a year ago?

If it is not consummated then anytime. Usually 24 hours depending on the country or state you are in. Also you may have to be divorced depending on the reason for ending the marriage.
