I Have Complained To My Landlord About The Mold In My House, And We Are Constantly Having To Clean It With Bleach. But I Now Have Reoccuring Pleurisy Issues. Can An Infection Of The Lungs, From Inhaling Mold, Cause Pleurisy?

Yes, black mold is very dangerous. I am living in a place with black mold right now and my daughter and I have Pleurisy from it. I just moved into this apartment with the mold, but I lived in a house a little over a year ago that we had to leave because the mold was killing my daughter and I. She was covered in an allergic rash and I had developed some form of chronic bronchitis and had flu-like symptoms without having the flu. I went to stay with the in-laws for one night and woke up fine, but as soon as I returned to the house, same stuff. After that, we moved to another house that was new to decrease the chances of it having mold. The idea worked, it did not seem to have mold (I wiped everything we owned down with bleach and water, a strong mix, right when we moved in). Then I got a job at an apartment complex that offered free rent and utilities as pay for about 6 hours a week of work. I couldn't pass it up, especially since I can do the job with my daughter and continue to stay home with her (she is 19 months). The first night we spent in the apartment, her and I both woke up feeling like death and with terrible sinus infections. That was about 2 1/2 months ago, and now I am having bad chest pains. Luckily, the fatigue and brain fog, etc. Symptoms were cured by leaving all the windows open all the time (we're on the second floor). But I fear for my daughters health, and mine as well. My daughter has a terrible cough and hasn't felt good. It's hard because I can't ask her if her chest hurts, she is too young to tell me. In case you were wondering, I would just move because that is the only way to make it all go away, but financially I'm not sure it's possible. Sorry so long, but I hope we both get out soon for our health. Move if you can. If the infestation is bad enough to cause those symptoms in you, it won't easily be cleaned up, not even by professionals. Also, move somewhere new to decrease the chances of it having mold. Assuming the house was built right and their have been no floods, etc., there's no reason for mold to be there. You could always have the air checked professionally before you move somewhere too, but that can be costly...

supplies a list of lupus, viral infections or lung infections, pneumonia, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, liver diseases, pulmonary embolism (lung clot), tuberculosis, chest injuries, and reactions to various drug.
Looking online I could not find a connection between mold and pleurisy. It doesn't mean it might not be there, just that I didn't find it.
