Do You Think $175.00/month Is To Much To Pay In Child Support For One Child?

Do not even think of lowering it. Your ex should be ashamed of himself for not voluntarily giving you more to help his autistic son.

Do not lower it to comfort him, your son needs that money. How selfish that is of him to even ask you to lower it. When I had to have my husband pay, he had to pay $369 a month. Our child is worth that I think.

Give me a break.  Don't feel sorry for him.  You need to be thinking about your child.  Especially, if the child is autistic he/she needs more.  If your ex is having a cow over that I would say give him a hard time and fight for more.  If anyone should be giving anyone a break it should be for the child.  Don't lower it more.  If he can't afford the amount he owes he can get off his and find a better job and pay more.  He should be thinking of his child not himself.  Another dead beat dad if you ask me.  Sorry I don't know him but men like this make me mad.  I have 3 children and their dad ran off and don't pay a cent that is ok I don't need him but I cant stand dead beat dads.  Don't give him a break.  Be tough you and your child deserve more.  Take care and good luck.

Hon.... $175 a month isn't even enough to feed the child. My ex pays over $600 a month and is whining about it. He recently CHOSE to retire 12 years early and expects to get out of it all together. I think what I get is way too little, as my son is 15 and can eat a lot... My grocery bill is over $200 a week. He should be paying you more... MUCH MUCH more.

Oh gosh no way, he should be paying the full amount $225.00, if you lower it anymore you won't be able to survive. The cost of living has gone up..your child deserves that money...

No maam! I live in georgia and the laws here are not fair either. My ex husband is supposed to pay 175.00 / week for our two boys and the state doesn't seem to care if or how much he's behind (over 5,000.00) since i turned my case over to them. My husband that I'm married to now has one son and he pays 278.00 / week and only makes 70,000.00 / year!  and he has not missed a payment. I wish all men could be a man like him. He supports his own plus mine.

You are CRAZY!!! $175.00 is nothing!!! Doesn't your child need to eat and be clothed and have health insurance those are just the bare necessities!!! Come on.....

I dont think $175.00 is to much. Children are expensive. And with your son being autistic im sure that your child has more special needs as far as doctors and school. He is getting off easy. You should have never lowered it.
