Property boundaries define the limits of a part of land. These are most normally marked out by hedges. If you haven't got any noticeable perimeters to your property you could always get the deed plans. Chartered Surveyors can provide you with deed plans for your property or you could go direct through the government at the Land Registry Office.

Get survey done by a surveyor tell him to mark the boundarys then erect a fence 2mm before that boundary to avoid disputes as the fence would be inside your perimeter

A Property Boundary determines how far your piece of land reach out to, and marks out the specific perimeters. You can find the exact dimensions in the title plan for your property or registry documentation. Be sure not to encroach on your neighbour's territory - key signs are fences, walls or hedges that give a key indicator on the limit on how far you can extend your property. Exceed that and you have legal issues to settle.

Word of advice:

"When homeowners or other non professionals try to locate property lines themselves, they usually have problems as there is no way they can be sure that property stakes (irons) haven't been moved, if they are they are still there. Often they are gone (due to various reasons)."

They are structures that separate your property from neighboring properties like fences or walls. To specify a property boundary, you can strike a agreement with your neighbor on the specifications.

House boundaries can be measured by means of a measuring tape. This can be done by measuring the length and the width as well as the length of all the property boundaries of your house. You can measure the boundaries by starting at the corners of the house. The boundaries of the corner having right angles can be measured by running the measuring tape towards the western direction along the boundary line. Now, the next thing would be to measure towards the southern direction from the same house corner. Repeat the same process to measure from the other corners of the house.

Replicate the method for the other three corners, even where no right angle exists. This way the boundaries of your house can be measured. Keeping a straight line as a point of reference, you can measure curved corners.
