This question very much depends on whether you are asking for health and safety assistance for your own benefit or health and safety information in the work place.
Health and Safety in the workplace has become a must for many companies over recent years with extra attention paid to health and safety being credited with a huge reduction in workplace injuries.

Health and Safety regulations set out rules on the way duties are carried out in the workplace in order to make the working environment a safer one.
Mostly due to an increase in legal action, taken by employees being injured at work, health and safety measures have become more and more stringent. This is due to companies wanting the best for their staff but also not wanting to face a huge settlement bill should a worker be killed or injured at work.
Most companies will have at least one health and safety officer designated to deal with such issues, if not more. Your health and safety officer should be able to help you with any queries you may have regarding a complaint, a claim or a problem. You can ask who your nearest officer is and speak to them confidentially about an issue you may be concerned about.
As well as individual officers in the work place there are also national bodies which can help you on a health and safety issue. In the US, OSHA deals with all matters regarding health and safety issues, you should contact them should you have any issue or complaint. The official website for OSHA can be found at www.osha.gov.

In the UK it is the Health and Safety executive that deal with similar issues, their website is www.hse.gov.uk.
