At the court house these is usually a computer for public use, you can use it too look up arrests, convictions ect...Just ask the records clerk at the courthouse in your county where and how to use it...If you want to prints they may charge you a nominal per page printing fee

If you are in the same city and you suspect that may be the city, just call the jail and they will tell you if that person is there. Why would you think this person is jailed?  Check the hospitals also. First I would go to the residence of the person. Sad to say, but it has been known to find people deathly ill or dead in their homes. It is commendable for you to have interest. Don't let anymore time pass before you check the home. In the meantime check with others who know this person and if no one has seen this person, you now have alerted more people in the search.  The police can tell you if a person by that name has been in a car accident etc.  Whatever you do, if you nor friends and family have not heard, when you visit the residence, please alert the police and have them at the house "before" you  do a lot of searching around the house.  I am hoping that this person just need time out and that all is well. If  I were your friend and you did this to check on my safety, You better believe I would let you know next time I was going to be  on a break. Lol  I wish you well.
