How do you find out if somene was a marine at one time?

I would suppose unless you had some form of court order you could not access that info.

Or, you could just ask the person. If the person is falsely claiming to be a marine I do not know what you could do about it.

If you are not the veteran, the next of kin of a deceased veteran or some other authorized personnel, then no.
