I don't think they can because, I don't think you can sell prepaid legal services. Those types of jobs are usually government jobs, and in order to work for the government you can not have a felony. Also the only legal service I advise you to get is from a lawyer

Let's begin by dismissing the incorrect statements above:

Prepaid Legal Service, Inc. Is a public company (NYSE:PPD) not a goverment agency.  

The application to become an associate does ask you if you have been convicted of a felony, but it states outright on the application that your felony will not necessarily preclude you from becoming an associate.

If you are interested in the opportunity, I would recommend that you Submit and application to become an associateand give it a shot.  The enrollment price is $49 before January 1, 2008.  After that, the price will go up.
