I dont understand our justice system. People like bill cosby are found guilty of their crime but their out on bond till sentancing. Your guilty go to jail?

I agree with you.  You or I would have been placed in custody .... But then, we don't have a million bucks for bail.

It's not just the rich ... It also depends on the jurisdiction and crime.

In Oregon, 75% of guilty people never see the inside of a prison due to overcrowding.

You asked about the justice system, not about the Cosby case, so here is the general rule:

Just because you have been found guilty, that does not mean that your sentence in a criminal case will involve additional jail time.

You can also be sentenced to time served or probation.
