Here in the Philippines, manufacturing companies label their products with both manufacturing and expiration date in order to avoid confusion or the labels "consume before" or "best before".
In the markets, foods have "use by" dates, "sell by" dates, packaged dates, unlabelled dates, or no date at all. Can someone with real knowledge on the subject explain why there are so many variations? Do they all meet labeling laws?
