Police are usually feared by those who are, have or plan to break the law.

What about in cases when the police are out of control or don't play by the rules?

I get that we should all be grateful for the protection and security they provide, but I'd love to hear about what your experiences of police have been...

(laughing) I've had a few bad go rounds with the police, when I was in my late teens and early 20's. Never did I experience them out of control, or breaking the law themselves. I think if someone believes they are miss treated by the police they should document the incident with as much detail as possible, get witness statements and hire a lawyer and go from there..

Most people only deal with cops when the lights go on behind them and a siren or bullhorn says PULL OVER. I have never feared a cop I called on for help or one I met in an off duty social setting. Only the ones who seek me out first scare me.
