Beverley Gail Allitt was born on the 4th of October in the year 1968. She is an English Serial killer and is termed as the most notorious female serial killer of the country. She was basically a paediatric nurse who was working for the Grantham and Kesteven Hospital in Lincolnshire, England. She is known as the Angel of Death as she was involved in killing children. She used to kill her victims by injecting insulin in them thereby causing a cardiac arrest (heart attack). She successfully killed four children and wounded five others in the year of 1991.
Her victims were Liam Taylor (7 months old) killed on 21 February 1991, Timothy Hardwick (11 years old) killed on 5 March 1991, Kayley Desmond (9 years old) survived, Paul Crampton (5 months old) survived, Bradley Gibson (5 years old) survived, Yik Hung Chan (2 years old) survived, Becky Phillips (2 months old) killed on 3 April 1991, Katie Phillips (2 months old) survived, Claire Peck (15 months old) killed on 22 April 1991.
Allitt was successful in attacking a total of thirteen children (four fatally) in a period of fifty eight days. The medical staff became concerned and suspicious over the increasing number of deaths by heart attack in the children's ward so the police was contacted and it was revealed that Allitt was the only nurse present when these incidents occurred and had access to drugs so she was arrested. She was convicted on 23 May 1993.
