Now High schools are different in each state. I would recommend a chemistry, biology route. If psychology is available then yea it wouldn't hurt. Now in college please understand the field is new and growing, but would be called forensic science. The only problem is most forensic psychologist have a PH.D or a PSY.D So you are looking at least 8 years or more. A lot of people may major in criminal justice B.S with a minor or double major in Psy. Then work on their masters and PH.D in Clinical Psychology with a forensic infinis.
