I as a teen myself do believe we should be executed for committing murder. Why should we not be treated like adults?

We ask to be treated like adults so why not treat us like one. We deserve the same rights and consequences as an adult. That includes being executed because something they do in the past they may not learn from it and then grow to be some insane psychopath.
They should know that killing a person is obviously bad how could you not know that it's common sense to anyone.

I don't think anyone should be executed, I say life let the person live with his/her mistake and live the rest of his/her life dealing with it, I don't think they should be put on suicide watch if what they have done bothers them so much than so be it, once the trial is over...let that person take their own life if that is what they desire to do, but the courts should not give anyone death if it is wrong for one to kill so it is for all courts included....two wrongs do not make a right...

"How many wrongs DO make a right??? ???  Teens should not be trialed as adults because they have not experienced the adult world long enough in order to realize what they are doing but they should however be sentenced to work for community and re-arranging their views for later as adults to see they were not good. I say better prevent, we should behave exemplary as adults and all the children will be exemplary, society should do better in prevention, teaching and giving advice. As more minors are committing violent crimes, the question of whether they should be tried as adults has arisen. Children as young as 13 or 14 are committing violent crimes such as murder, rape, and armed robbery. Some of these children are being tried as adults while others are being tried as juveniles and receiving milder punishments. A juvenile offender may receive a few years in a juvenile detention facility and possibly probation following his release at age eighteen. An adult committing the same violent crime will receive a much harsher penalty, often years in jail, possibly a life sentence, with little or no chance of parole. The only difference between the two offenders is the age at which they committed the crime. Juveniles over the age of fourteen should be tried as adults when accused of violent crimes.

No, teens should not be executed! I am 17 yrs of age and my life is already hard. I know that we as teens make a lot of bad choices and most of us committed murder but it doesn't mean they shouldn't deserve a second chance at life. Face the facts people we are just kids  trying to learn right from wrong. Yes, I do believe that if you are big enough to kill anybody, than you should be big enough to face to consequences, not execution! Just throw us in jail and let us think about our mistakes. Thats the worst punishment of all.

I have to admit I was a bit surprised when I saw this answer too! "most of us committed murder"??? I certainly don't want to be living in the same part of town as you!!

Personally i think sentences are too lenient, adults and teens alike. If you take a life, you forfeit the right to your life. You should spend the rest of your time behind bars, doing something productive, possibly something that will benefit the family of the victims to try and make a tiny step towards making amends. That's what i would suggest

Each case should be handled individually but any gang related crimes should be handles as adults and receive the same punishment

I don't believe they should. Depending on your age you should not be persecuted as an adult and your brain is not fully developed by the age of eighteen.

It is a complicated question .Teens are too younger to tell apart what is a kind of criminal act.Mostly, they break the law cause they are guided in a wrong direction by big bad wolf.

So,their tutors are expected to take more responsibility rather than teens themselves.

Anyway, teens who had done a crime didn't  know exactly what they had done.

They are supposed to be protected more rather than cruel penalty.

Yes, but they should know that killing some one is in fact a crime. It has nothing to do with their up bringing, it's mostly common sense. They need to take responsibility for their actions just as what any one else should have to.

What if your mom or friend died how would  you feel; I mean don't people think these days...????? If it was some one close to you how would you feel if they died and the person who did it just did 69 years. They should be executed for taking someones life away you'll should think about the things that happen to one another. I live in florida and things here are just like or murder, murder, murder that all teens do down here. (see where I'm coming from now). ?????
Just sit and think and tell me if you changed you mind or not.

I don't think teens should be executed because a crime is a crime they knew what they were doing.

I am a teen and I think that for sure teens should  be executed and it needs to be in public so other teens can see what happens when you break the law. Some torture would be ok too. I think that anyone over the age of ten is old enough. Even for some crimes like rape and robbery or having sex with other kids, teens espeically boys, should get the death penalty.  They will not grow up to be criminals that way. Hanging would be best to teach a lesson to others watching.

Yes depends if the kill is major. Juveniles used to be considered young, athletic students with ruddy complexion, squeaky voice and acne, but now they are often vindictive, vicious, and violent criminals. Teen agers are still growing maturely. They should be punished for a higher crimes and that they should learn from the mistakes first. Chinese people should be punished
