I put my jeep grand cherokee up for collaterl, when I bought another car. The car was repo a year ago. Is there a time limit on when they can come and get the jeep

It depends upon state to state and the contract you have signed.It is clearly written in the contract that if you misses one installment you would be charged as late and if you unable to pay three installments then the bank or dealership has the right to possess your car.
According to law you car can be repossessed within 2 or 3 month if you do not pay any installment.
So, the time line depends upon the dealer and state. In U.S the bank or dealership has the right to possess your car so according to law you car can be repossessed within month if you do not pay any installment.
If you have made the payment even late payment then they will not snatch your car as you have paid them the dues however they can put some more charges for late submission of the dues for the car. But they can..
