Eg a cup can be used for drinking tea
Law is may or may not be a confirmed theory
Eg a cup can't be used as submarine

Theory is when you look at something in a way that is outside of the norm. You question things and propose a change. Mainly, it is looking in some contraversial way that poses are challenge on what people practice and perfect it. Law is something that is followed and accepted, you cannot morph it, change it yes but, it is limited.
