Copies of birth certificates and other personal vital records can only be obtained from the state or US possession where the documents were originally filed, or by filling this page ICheck. Most states provide a centralized source from which birth certificates and other vital records can be ordered.

Go see a military recruiter, they can order a birth certificate thru your state, without charge. Even if you don't meet the other requirements to join. The recruiter has to be a nice person tho, to take the time to help you.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK. I went to the GovBirthRecords.org and whoever said it was FREE was full of you-know-what. I think it cost well over $15-$20. Please, somebody tell me --WHY do we have to pay for something like this???? Once again -- Good Luck trying to find a FREE birth certificate copy.
